The frame-type bucket forms the bending plane at the bottom of bucket used in general hydraulic excavator into the grid. Compared with the standard bucket at the same level, the bucket has high construction cost due to time spent in manufacturing grid. In order to ensure the strength and durability, the grid frame would become heavier, hence the operation is poor.
The specific part of frame-type bucket grid is worn easily, and needs to be repaired after usage for certain degree. In the above repair, if the grids are completely replaced, a lot of time and high expenses are needed. Hence, the rolled steel would be welded to the part with severe wear as local repair. Since the bending part must be repaired, the working hours are spent, and the corresponding expenses are consumed even if for local repair.
Sometimes, the size of frame-type bucket grid is changed as per the sand soil mass and the size of filtering materials. For example, if the grid is too small compared with the filtering materials, the filtering effect becomes worse and the grid is easily blocked. Hence, the operation efficiency will greatly reduce. On the contrary, if the grid is too large compared with the filtering materials, the materials which don't pass through the grid as expected will also pass through the grid. Under such circumstance, general frame-type bucket couldn't change the size of grid in essence, so different frame-type buckets with different grid sizes must be designed again, which needs to consume lots of expenses and time.

In the above frame-type bucket, the through hole is set on the longitudinal member of grid and the transverse member is properly inserted or passes through these through holes to change the gap of transverse member and then to change the size of grid.
